The Cocoon idea
A modern board with the essentials built in.
Cocoon Boards began with a roll-up board design, which inspired the butterfly logo. The current boards keep that travel-friendly spirit in a sturdy, contemporary case with a magnetic closure and no handles.
The playing-field depth is reduced to save weight, while rounded corners contour around the checkers and make the board comfortable to carry and play.
Made for your game
Choose a standard printed poly-felt surface, or ask about a custom design. Alternative playing surfaces include printed canvas and leatherette.

Useful things to know
Which board should I choose?
The 20mm, 27mm and 35mm boards are the most travel-friendly. Choose 40mm or 44mm if you prefer more room for regular play or tournaments.
Can I have my own artwork or colours?
Yes. Custom playing surfaces are possible, with an additional charge and around three extra weeks for delivery. Tell us what you have in mind when enquiring.
Can clubs order several table-top boards?
Yes. The original information notes discounts for clubs ordering more than five. The 2026 Brighton Summer Open table-top boards are listed at 4 for £135 each, 8 for £110 each, or 10 or more for £100 each; replacement surfaces are extra.
