Is a coelacanth a dinosaur?

No. It is a fish in an ancient lobe-finned lineage. It lived alongside ancient animals but is not a dinosaur.

Is it really a living fossil?

That is a popular nickname. Living coelacanths are modern animals that have continued evolving, not unchanged fossils.

Can I see one in St Lucia?

No verified source says coelacanths live in the St Lucia Estuary. South African records concern deep offshore marine habitats.

Where was the first living one found?

The first scientifically recognised living specimen was caught off South Africa near the mouth of the Chalumna River in 1938.

Are there two living species?

Two are recognised in the research set: Latimeria chalumnae in the western Indian Ocean and Latimeria menadoensis in Indonesian waters.

Can exact locations be published?
